She is head of the Center for Corporate Communication and senior lecturer at the Institute for Media and Communications Management of the University of St. Gallen. Her current key aspects of research and teaching activities are public relations, communication management, issues and reputation management and corporate citizenship. Her Ph.D. thesis on corporate issues management in multinational corporations received the annual award by the SGKM (Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Kommunikations- und Medienwissenschaften) in 2003. Before, she studied communication science, business administration and psychology at the University of Essen, where she graduated with a master degree (MA) in January 1999. She started her career as a banker in a local bank in Wuppertal and gained international work experiences in communications, PR and marketing in the US, Argentina and Spain before and during her studies.
