Biography

Sara Sermini is a postdoctoral assistant at the Istituto di studi italiani at the USI in Lugano, where she obtained her doctorate in Italian language, literature and civilisation with a thesis entitled: "Dare voce. Poetics and politics of poverty in post-World War II Italy'. She was a Visiting Doctoral Researcher at University College London thanks to a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Université Paris Nanterre. Her research interests mainly focus on literature, and in particular on contemporary poetry in relation to political thought. She is author of a monograph about Amelia Rosselli entitled: 'E se paesani / zoppicanti sono questi versi'. Povertà e follia nell'opera di Amelia Rosselli, introduction by Antonella Anedda, Florence, Olschki, 2019.
