Description
The workshop provides an introduction to the history and theories of safeguarding the architectural heritage. The course illustrates the relation between theory and practice with a series of field trips to selected buildings that reflect the range of conservation and reuse projects to which they have been subjected. Students will thus have the opportunity to see in situ what they study in the course with the lecturer and to discuss various approaches to protection of the architectural heritage.
Objectives
Introdurre gli studenti alla storia e alla teoria, o meglio alle teorie, della tutela del patrimonio architettonico.
Guidare gli studenti attraverso le questioni fondamentali del restauro e portarli a porsi le giuste domande davanti al manufatto architettonico.
Mostrare, attraverso la visita in loco e l'analisi diretta di alcuni casi-studio, lo stretto legame tra teoria e prassi che caratterizza la tutela del patrimonio.
Fornire agli studenti una metodologia per far discendere dall’analisi preliminare criteri d’intervento e soluzioni ad hoc per ogni caso specifico.
