Software Atelier: Partial Differential Equations
People
Course director
Description
The students will learn how to design an object-oriented code incorporating all the necessary components (mesh, discretization schemes, sparse linear algebra, linear solvers). A particular focus will be put on the efficient implementation in MATLAB and C++ exploiting vectorization.
Objectives
The main objective of the course is the implementation of finite element and finite difference methods for the solution of partial differential equations (PDEs).
