Description
The metaphysics of causal powers. This course aims to introduce students to some of the most debated problems in analytical metaphysics today by means of studying the ontology of causal powers and its applications (in the philosophy of perception, aesthetics, and artificial intelligence).
In examining these problems, the ways in which they have been addressed and the solutions that have been proposed, the lecturer will seek to engage students in an open discussion, the aim of which is to strengthen students' analytical, critical and argumentative skills, so as to support both the learning of philosophical content as well as the exercise of students' philosophical skills.
