Description

The course in Structures 4 focuses on the study and design of the load-bearing structures of buildings. The elementary structures of the plane and space are assumed as constituent elements and attention is focused on development of the static concept understood as the definition of the compositional rules of these elements to ensure their correct functioning and a comprehensive flow of vertical and horizontal loads from the point of application to the foundations. In order to preserve freedom of design, the course is limited and at the same time enriched through the analysis of some exemplary buildings.
