Conservation, Reuse and the Practice of Restoration

The course, understood as a series of lectures on “applied theory”, is carried out through lectures, daily study trip, thematic exercises and seminars. The topics are mainly dealt with from a practical point of view, through the presentation of case studies (“DALL’OFFICINA DEL PROGETTO”), the explanation of working tools (“TOOLS”) and the illustration of working methods (“HOW TO WORK”). Course attendance is mandatory, at least for 80% of the activities. During the semester two exercises to be performed in “the field” are explained and assigned; the collective discussion and the delivery of these exercises replace the exam.
