Description
Since the Second World War Milan’s hinterland has experienced a particularly strong urbanization process, which has profoundly changed the territory with regard to the density of the social processes, the formal characters of the architectures, the spatial organization of settlements and the infrastructural endowment. Through fieldwork – and making the best use of the knowledge previously acquired in the theoretical courses and design studios – the course will carry out a description and critical analysis of the (ordinary) architectures and spatial organization of Milan’s hinterland.
