Description
The course aims to outline the times and modes of the transition from the private spaces of collecting – Renaissance study, baroque galleries, Wunderkammer – to the museum as a collective space, the central theme of reflection also in the theory of modern and contemporary culture (Proust, Valéry, Benjamin, Baudrillard, etc). Field trips to museums and collections are an integral part of the course: the objective is therefore to integrate the direct analysis of the places with the historical-critical study.
