Project: Various Typologies

As a meeting point of handcraft and industry, Giubiasco is today a strategic place of the Ticino Canton. Embed in its natural landscape, the region holds an intermodal platform between all the railway lines from Locarno and Lugano to Bellinzona and the Gotthard. The challenge is to conceive an educational and cultural building, as part of the widespread campus concept linked by the railway and which could play an important role in empowering a sense of shared community. On a vacant platform (as an empty stage) edged by the SBB Station, the program includes the design of a dance and performing arts school. The building should explore the sense of movement and the geometry of spaces where motion and emotion live.
