Project: Various Typologies

In the spring semester we will continue working in the Canton of Ticino. In this instance we will work in the Valle di Muggio and create a survey of the small settlements that are located in this corner of Ticino. Projects will seek to stabilise these villages as compact and coherent urban structures by reinterpreting local traditions and ways of building. From the survey of the conditions ‘as found’ we will then consider a process of adjustment, addition and densification in a manner that is reasonable and sustainable.
