Description

During the course, students learn to deal with space through physical exercises directed at a knowledge of anatomy and movement, and build artefacts that amplify what the body, as an engine, enacts by “inhabiting” a place. The exercises, which produce an experience on the scale of reality, will conclude with a public Mise en scène. The course also seeks to develop constructional skills through the knowledge-experience of the relation between matter and mechanics, and of geometry as a language of abstraction underpinning every three-dimensional creative project. Finally, the course produces a direct experience of the relation between the physical world and the imagined social world. During the semester there will also be theoretical lessons with guest lecturers, at which participation, as for the other activities, is compulsory.
