Devices, methods and achievements The course introduces students to the theme of lighting in the architectural project. The cycle of lectures, structured as three modules (theoretical lectures, techniques and design applications), seeks to bring out the importance of the process of knowledge of the natural and artificial lighting aspects of a building, so developing the necessary skills to control lighting both in relation to the complex problems of intervention in the reuse and restoration of twentieth century architecture, and in the design of new buildings. The examination exercise, to be based on case studies selected in the architectural panorama of the Canton Ticino, will be an opportunity for students to verify and apply what was discussed at lectures and present their own proposed projects.
