Description
The course will propose readings and analyses by modern and contemporary authors from different linguistic backgrounds whose works are characterized by the attention to landscape, spatial, and architectural representations and descriptions. In an interdisciplinary and comparative approach, the course will explore textual forms and dynamics of various kinds, with the aim of underlining how far the word can dialogue with the dimension of space. Through the genre of photo-text, the course will also consider the relationship between word and image, in dialogue with the space of the page. Organised as a seminar the course entails on the part of the participants a commitment to reading the texts and exploring them in depth.
