Description

The course introduces BIM (Building Information Modeling) approaching it as a creative tool that accompanies the architect from conceptual design to execution. BIM is the combination of CAD geometry with additional information about building parts, e.g. material, costs, structural and energy data. In the coming years BIM will be the new standard tool for architects and professionals related to the building industry, as CAD took over hand drafting thirty years ago. Already today, public projects in Denmark, the UK and Hong Kong are required to be designed and planned with BIM.
