Description

For the architect it is essential to be able to manage the project choices from the earliest stages, independently integrating the aspects of sustainability. These requirements must not lead to compromises but provide new opportunities. The theoretical principles and evaluation tools provide a guideline for the management of project strategies, improve interactions between specialists and assist in the evaluation of priorities. During the course, with the help of IT tools (BIM, sustainability evaluation software), case studies will be analyzed to understand and manage strategies for sustainable project through a quantitative evaluation of energy, materials, summer and winter thermal comfort, lighting comfort.

Objectives

Course objectives: become familiar with BIM design tools; know and understand the evaluation criteria and parameters for sustainability in design; understand and actively use the tools for assessing project sustainability, integrated with BIM design.
