Biography

Ilaria Gallinaro teaches History of Literary Genres at the ISI. Her research interests cover, in particular, the musical reception of the Gerusalemme liberata by Tasso (La non vera Clorinda. Tradizione teatrale e musicale della Gerusalemme Liberata nei secoli XVII-XIX, Franco Angeli, 1994), 'representations' of the soul in Italian literature (I castelli dell’anima. Architetture della ragione e del cuore nella letteratura italiana, Olschki, 1999) and the literary sources of Deserto dei Tartari by Buzzati (Morire in locanda. Drogo e i suoi padri, Edizioni dell’Orso, 2007). She graduated from the Conservatory in guitar, where she also obtained diplomas in composition and piano.
