Paolo Bory was born in Naples (Italy) where he got a bachelor degree in Sociology at the University Federico II. He got a master degree in Communication and Cultures of Media at the University of Turin, his master thesis was focused on the historical role of play and playful interactions between humans and machines in computer history. He is currently postdoctoral researcher at USI - Università della Svizzzera italiana. His PhD thesis deals with the social and cultural history of digital media, more specifically with the different imaginaries and narratives that shaped the development of computer networks in Western countries.
