Patrick David Sanan


Patrick Sanan is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Institute of Computational Science at USI, part of the PASC GeoPC project to design efficient preconditioners for large scale geophysical simulation. He studied Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), studied Electroacoustic Music at the University of Manchester, and earned his PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics in 2013 from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). His interests include numerical linear algebra, audio and graphical simulation, and scientific software.
