Abstract

WHACY is a World Heritage Awareness Campaign for Youth in Southern African Development Community (SADC), project designed by UNESCO Chair in ICT to Develop and Promote Sustainable Tourism in World Heritage Sites based at USI, in collaboration with the Hospitality Youth Initiative (HYI), a non-profit organization in South Africa with support of the Regional Tourism Organization of Southern Africa (RETOSA).

The awareness campaign leverages on a game-like online tool with the main goal to raise awareness of the universal value of 39 WHSs located in the SADC region primarily among the students of 16-19 years studying in SADC countries. More info on www.whacy.org.
