Abstract
The present scientific exchange will take place within an international network that has been established for carrying out a project aiming at developing a new affinity-based platform for reversible and scalable extracellular vesicles (EV) isolation (MARVEL ID: 951768). The project was founded by the European Commission within the “Transition to Innovation Activities”, in the area of technologies for the life sciences, health and treatment (H2020-EIC-FETPROACT-2019, https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/951768). The workshop that will be held in Lugano on 13 April, 2022 will benefit the MARVEL project in terms of project’s concept dissemination and meeting with potential end-users or companies for future collaboration. The workshop will be open to students and researchers outside the MARVEL-network and will be attended by two international keynote lecturers, experts in the field of EVs, and members of the International Society of Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV):Prof. Michele De Palma EPFL, Lausanne and Edit Buzàs University of Szeged, Hungary. All the participants will have an in-depth overview on the requirements and the state-of-the-art techniques currently in use for the isolation, characterization and tracking of EVs.Moreover, we will have presentations given by students and ample time for a round-table discussion.
