Qualitative research methods in Health communication

This course provides an overview over the various aspects of qualitative research and compares its strength and weaknesses to quantitative research methods. Students will learn how to develop and conduct a qualitative research study in health communication (i.e., design, data collection, data analysis, and write-up) and gain an understanding of the quality of a qualitative research study, particularly in light of common issues related to scientific validity and research ethics.
