João Paulo Duarte

Biografia

João Duarte is a PhD Candidate in Economics at the Institute of Management and a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Tuck School of Business, at Dartmouth College. He uses experimental and simulation methods to understand how knowledge of second-best solutions affects organizational search and decision-making. He also has ongoing projects where he studies the impact of peer-performance information and advice-seeking behavior on organizational performance. Before joining the PhD program, João worked as Laboratory Manager and Teaching Assistant at Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics and as a Research Assistant for ISCTE-Lisbon University Institute, where he obtained a MSc in Social and Organizational Psychology and a BSc in Psychology. João has also held non-academic positions in Human Resources Management.
