Evi Germeni is currently serving as a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Advanced Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences of the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, and as Lecturer of Qualitative Research Methods in Health Communication at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the University of Lugano, Switzerland. Her substantive research interests are centred around understanding the determinants of health-related behaviors and developing tailored health communication interventions. She has worked on a variety of health-related topics, the most recent of which being the study of information seeking and avoidance in cancer contexts. Her methodological work focuses on enhancing scientific understanding of possible ways in which qualitative findings could be better integrated in evidence-based practice and health policy-making. She is particularly interested in: methods for updating systematic reviews and syntheses of qualitative evidence; ways for addressing the risk of decontextualisation in secondary qualitative data analysis; as well as issues related to longitudinal qualitative data analysis.
