“As Nelson Mandela said: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Considering the national and international hitches we are facing nowadays, I would say that Intercultural Education has certainly become an essential topic that nobody should disregard. That is why I strongly believe in the Master of Advanced Studies in intercultural Communication.”
Graduated in Business and Institutional Communication (2002) and Intercultural Communication (2005) at Università della Svizzera italiana, after a short stint in the private sector, I came back to the area I love best: Education and Intercultural Communication.
Since 2004, I have been working for the Master of Advanced Studies in Intercultural Communication, first as Program Manager and then as Operational Director.
Apart from the promotion, planning, management, network development and fundraising of the program, I am in charge of the organization of the MIC weeks of courses abroad: in Fez, Morocco and in Bangkok, Thailand. These projects have significantly increased my ability to collaborate with important universities and institutions as well as acquiring new skills and competences.
I am currently board member of Sietar Switzerland (Society for Intercultural Education and Training and Research).
After all these years, I still work with the same enthusiasm and I am totally self-invested in the MIC project I really believe in. I regularly keep myself updated with conferences, seminars and courses.
Intercultural Communication, Development Cooperation, Human Rights, Migration and Integration, Social and Gender Equality are my great interests. I truly believe that an appropriate management of intercultural communication can have an impact on high-level international relations and that the world needs it more than ever.
