Finance and Controlling

Description

The Finance and Controlling Service is responsible for the financial management of USI. It is the central service that manages and updates financial accounting, prepares annual financial statements according to legal requirements, supports the management of research contracts and projects, compiles statistics and analytical accounting based on the policies of the Federal Statistical Office and other external entities.

The main activities of the service are:

  • Liquidity management
  • Management of clients and other debtors
  • Management of suppliers and other creditors
  • Management of fixed assets and depreciation
  • General accounting management
  • Management of interim and annual closures
  • Financial management of research projects
  • Preparation of the general budget of USI
  • Planning of the intermediate staff within the institutional contracts
  • Preparation of federal statistics
  • Internal reporting and assistance with financial planning
  • Data analysis, comparisons, and internal reporting
  • Assistance with the annual audit
  • Foundation accounting
