Biography

A scientific collaborator at USI since 2022, I work on the SNFS project “Essentialism and Mentalism in Austrian Economics” with Kevin Mulligan. Since 2023, I am also a postdoc at the Ethik Zentrum of the university of Zurich. Before that, I was a lecturer at the Universities of Geneva, Lausanne, Fribourg, Neuchatel and at the EPFL where I taught on the following topics:

· the ethics of giving

· the ethics of engineering

· the philosophy of money

· on the distinction between charity and justice

· on fictive genealogies

I do research and publish in the following topics:

· philosophy of economics and, in particular, on "Invisible-hand explanations", self-interested preferences, "warm-glow giving"

· social ontology and, in particular, on collective intentionality, money, economic exchanges and gifts

· moral philosophy and, in particular, on "repugnant trades", "nudges" and moral self-indulgence and in (d) history of philosophy and, in particular, on Edmund Burke.
