Biography
Giuditta Cirnigliaro is Assistant Professor at the Università della Svizzera italiana and Principal Investigator of the SNSF Starting Grant project “Fable, Emblem, Poem, Performance : Renaissance Word and Image Tales,” which investigates word and image narratives by Renaissance artists in relation to their creative process. She is adjunct professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and collaborates with academic institutions and museums in the field of Digital and Public Humanities. She has taught at the Università degli Studi di Milano, Università Roma Tre, Rutgers University and Université de Genève, and she has organized events in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, England and the United States. She edited the edition Leonardo: Fables and Prophecies (Garzanti, 2019) and the volume Italian Studies and Digital Interdisciplinarity (Taylor & Francis, 2022). Her publications include articles on Leonardo da Vinci, literature and visual arts, digital cultures and materials, and the monograph Leonardo's Fables: Sources, Iconography and Science (Brill, 2023).
