Abstract
The USABLE project develops a blended learning course on how to evaluate the usability of web applications. The target publics are students in computer science and communication sciences as well as professionals in the new media and electronic publishing industry.
The course acts as a bridge for knowledge transfer from universities and scientific centers (where usability methods are mainly elaborated and validated) to professionals working in the new media industry (user experience designer, communication experts, interaction designers, web developers).
USABLE also develops case studies, exercises and tools (like the Virtual Usability Lab) helpful in the quality evaluation process.
