Abstract
The objective of this project is to develop and integrate a novel software module in the power systems simulation software NEPLAN that enables the simulation and optimization of coupled multi-energy carrier systems. This includes deriving the mathematical models of the coupled systems with a special focus on integrating a wholistic security formulation for the overall system and devising algorithms for the efficient solution of the resulting problems for large scale systems.
