Developing Academic Skills in an International Context

Description

This course covers in detail a set of core skills required to embark on an academic career with international impact. Aimed at both postdocs and PhD students this course will also be of value to earlier stage PhD students starting to think about grants and impact. The course includes modules on grant writing, group building and project management, impact and engagement and academic career planning. Each module includes taught material, discussion sessions and examples to work through. The course is complementary to USI's grant writing course, as it covers different grants & strategies, as well as going beyond grant writing by discussing the larger academic impact

The course will take place June 27-30, 09:30-12:30, room SI-006.
