Description

Philosophy of logic in Aristotle’s Organon.

The course will cover topics in ontology, philosophy of language, logic and philosophy of science in Aristotle’s Organon. In particular: ontology in Categories; the theory of meaning; the square of opposites; the problem of the future contingents; syllogisms in Prior Analytics; theory of science in Posterior Analytics.
