Workshop: Water is also liquid

We are made up of seventy percent water, and the rest is dreams. Water is a substance that moves the audience, unsettles them, evokes impossible balances, immersions into the depths of mysteries. Water stirs in the oceans, lies still like mirrors stretched between mountains, turns into ice cubes, gushes from the fountains of Versailles.
This year, we will study how to use the moisture of tears and the power of a waterfall. We will develop ideas for water-based theaters, build humid worlds, and design scenic spaces, performances, and rituals where water becomes the cornerstone of our projects.

We will work reasoning around this element, constructing hypotheses for floating theatres, for immersions in torrential rains, we will evoke storms and naval battles, shipwrecks, miraculous waters, lakes hidden in the bowels of the earth, we will make it rain water that speaks, that dances, that slides on the skin evoking freedom, we will study ablutions in sacred rivers in India and in Renaissance baptistries and Japanese onsen.
