Description

Students wishing to participate in the Founders' Track need to register for this course in order to receive ECTS credits as recognition for their effort in working on their startups.

Objectives

The Founders' Track supports student founders who work on their own startup – individually or in groups of USI students. It is currently available for the Masters in Financial Technology and Computing, in Management and Informatics and in Articifical Intelligence. This third course of a series of three aims at accompanying student founders during their ongoing startup journey. The main theme of the semester is building your solution. The course prepares students for Milestone 4 of the Founders' Track: the presentation of their minimum viable product and the successful conclusion of the Founders' Track.

Learning methods

Learning is mostly experience based, featuring individual coaching, office hours, moderated peer meetings, short presentations and needs-oriented short courses on startup skills.

Examination information

Passing Founders III  concludes theFounders' Track. Evaulation is pass/fail and is carried out by the Founders' Committee. There is an option to re-apply at the beginning of the spring semester. 

Students have to submit the following deliverables

  • Minimum viable product
  • Documentation of progress (founders’ diary) with individual contributions.

Additionally, each group has to present an improved 30-min pitch with demo
