Description
Heightened scrutiny, a complex information environment, and evolving stakeholder expectations require organizations to navigate an increasingly volatile landscape in which critical situations are no longer isolated events, but an ongoing reality. In this context, proactive issues management and crisis communication are essential to safeguarding organizational legitimacy and reputation. Combining theory and practice, this course equips students with the relevant conceptual knowledge and practical skills to manage issues, prepare for potential crises, and respond effectively when they arise.
Objectives
• Develop a solid understanding of the issues and crisis management process
• Learn about the main theoretical approaches in the field of issues and crisis management
• Learn key frameworks, tools, and strategies used in practice
• Strengthen the ability to analyze, anticipate, and respond effectively to emerging issues and crises

The course combines theory with practical examples through traditional teaching, academic articles and case studies, presentations and classroom discussions. For students interested in deepening the subject, the instructor will be able to provide several further academic and professional references.
