Description

The primary objective of this course is to introduce the concept of Enterprise Architecture, which has gained significant traction within organisations for the modeling of Enterprise Information Systems. The course provides the fundamental principles that define enterprise architecture and explore several widely recognised frameworks (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF). The course will be based on Archimate as the notation for describing Enterprise Information Systems. Through both classroom group work and autonomous activities, students will acquire the ability to model an Enterprise Information System, both to describe its current state (AS-IS) and to design future evolutions (TO-BE) and the connection between them. The scenarios considered is aligned with the content of the Enterprise Information Systems course.

The content of the course is organized as follows

  • EA fundamentals: foundation, goals, EA frameworks
