Description
The course will cover – among others – the following topics:
• Introduction to Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Overview of NLP applications most relevant to tourism and digital fashion communication
• Conversational AI
• Prompt Engineering
• Ethical issues of AI
• AI regulations
Objectives
The aim of this course is to give students enough understanding of popular AI tools, with a focus on text-based models, to use these tools in a responsible and adequate manner. We will discuss both opportunities and risks associated with such tools and delve deeper into a few use cases relevant for international tourism and digital fashion communication.

Learning methods
Each class is composed of a lecture and a hands-on session, in which students gain deeper understanding of theoretical concepts by means of running code or doing other exercises.
Students should bring a laptop to all classes.
Examination information
The final grade is composed of graded exercises (40%) and a written exam (60%).
