Description

The Lab will provide support to all students who start their master thesis, in particular through:

  • Online: two synchronous classes (in the Spring semester) devoted to introduce the master thesis research, and some related methods.
  • In presence/online tutoring meetings (along all semester) to help students refine their thesis projects before it is approved by the master director.
  • Further support, if requested.

Objectives

  • Guide students through the process of defining a clear, coherent, and feasible research topic and choosing suitable research methods.
  • Guide students in organizing their thesis effectively, including the development of research questions, objectives, hypotheses (if applicable), and coherent chapter layouts.
  • Strengthen academic writing, with correct structure, citation, and argumentation suitable for a Master’s thesis, and the effective use of sources and research literature.
  • Train students to critically review, synthesize, and position their work within the existing body of literature in international tourism.
  • Train students in using digital tools for research (e.g., reference managers, data analysis software, plagiarism checkers) to support rigorous thesis development.

Students will receive support to develop their thesis projects through a combination of interactive online classes, personalized tutoring, and feedback.

Examination information

Learners will be tested through individual activities and their work during the classes and tutoring.
