Sonja Hildebrand


Art historian, studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and at the Freie Universität Berlin. 1997 PhD (thesis on Egon Eiermann) and 2008 habilitation ("Schriften zur Architektur des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts") at the Technische Universität München. 1997-2000 scientific collaborator at the Architekturmuseum München. 2000-01 post-doc scholarship at the graduate college "Kunstwissenschaft, Bauforschung, Denkmalpflege" at the Universität Bamberg and the Technische Universität Berlin. 2001-11 scientific collaborator and 2010 substitute professor (chair Werner Oechslin) at the Institut gta, ETH Zürich. In addition, in 2007-08 she was scientific collaborator at the Institut für Denkmalpflege und Bauforschung of the ETH Zürich. She has also taught at the Technische Universität München, at the Universität Bamberg and at the Universität Zürich. Curated exhibitions amongst others at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich (Gottfried Semper 2003, Haefeli Moser Steiger 2007) and the Kunsthaus Zürich (Karl Moser 2010).
