Biography

Antonio Nucci is a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Media and Journalism (IMeG). His research focuses on climate change communication, activism and media representation of environmental issues. He holds a Bachelor of science (B.Sc.) in Communication and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Gestione dei Media both from the Università della Svizzera italiana. Before studying climate change communication, Nucci focused his studies on Over-the-Top (OTT) media platforms and company strategies to engage film and TV audiences, writing both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. thesis on audiences and OTT investment strategies. In order to obtain his master degree he spent three months working in Mediaset’s headquarter in Cologno Monzese (MI).

In 2014, during his bachelor degree he took part in the ToChina Business Program, a course organized by the University of Turin and the ESCP, spending two months studying Business in the Chinese Context at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, P.R. of China.

He is assistant to the following USI university modules: Televisione: Industria e Linguaggi (for B.Sc. in Communication) and Media Economics and Policy, The Platform Society and International Strategic Management (for the M.Sc. in Media Management). He also teaches at the LUISS, Rome, Italy.

Nucci a member of the STSN (Società Ticinese di Scienze Naturali) and of the SAGUF (Swiss Academic Society for Environmental Research and Ecology).
