Lara Faccio

Biography

Lara Faccio is an Italian lecturer at the Italian language courses offered to non-Italian speaking students, researchers and professors of USI in Lugano and at the Academy of Architecture, based in Mendrisio, as well as a teacher at the medical Italian courses for students of the USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences.

 

Since 2023, she has been USI's Modern Languages Lab (LLM) collaborator. Her duties include coordinating language courses and organising language certification examinations.

 

She graduated in Italian Literature, with a specialization in Comparative Literature, at the University of Turin (Italy). Later, she obtained the Master of Arts in Italian Language, Literature and Culture offered by ISI - the Institute of Italian Studies - of USI with a Thesis in Medieval Literature entitled "Fantasy and imagination in the Stilnovisti’s Poetry: Neoplatonic sources"(with Prof. Mira Mocan and Prof. Corrado Bologna). She also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma for Intercultural Teacher of Italian Language for Foreign students (FILIS) with highest honors. Her interests are mainly in languages, literature and art.
