Since 1989 has been in practice as an architect in Geneva. Has designed and developed residential and public buildings, redevelopments and restoration projects, documented in various publications. Has taught architecture and construction at the Institute of Architecture, University of Geneva (1989-2006), and since 2005 has been Professor of Design and Technology at the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio. Since 2007 has been Associate Professor of Theory and Design at the EPFL. Conducts research into modern and contemporary construction systems and restoration of the modern heritage, with results that have been collected in reference works on Auguste Perret, Jean Prouvé, Angelo Mangiarotti, Luigi Moretti, Vittoriano Viganò, and numerous other publications.
