Biography

Sabrina Mazzali-Lurati teaches writing courses in the Bachelor's degree in Communication and the Master's degree in Economics and International Politics. She previously taught the course Elements of Rhetoric for Written Communication (since 2009), and was assistant lecturer for the courses in Text Typology and Expressive Techniques (since 2005) and Semiotics (since 2001). She obtained her doctorate in Communication Sciences at USI in 2003, developing in her thesis a semiotic-hermeneutic approach to multimedia applications of ‘classical’ literary texts. Her research is developed in two related areas: rhetoric and rhetorical strategies in communication (particularly of organisations); semiotics and multimodality in an argumentative perspective (particularly in advertising and other forms of promotional communication).
