Alberto Ferrante

Biography

Alberto Ferrante is a lecturer and researcher at IDSIA (Istituto Dalle Molle di studi sull’intelligenza artificial) USI/SUPSI and affiliated at the Faculty of Informatics of USI.

He obtained his PhD from Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy) in 2006 and his MSc from Politecnico di Milano (Italy) in 2002. His research interests are in communication security, security for embedded systems, design of embedded systems and artificial intelligence applications, in particular for the Internet of Things (IoT). He has been involved in a number of technology transfer projects with local companies. He published a number of scientific papers and he was invited as TPC member in major conferences such as ICC, CCNC, and Globecom.


Alberto teaches the master course Edge Computing in the IoT.
