Abstract
The overall aim of this project is to enable educators and teachers to deliver effective and engaging teaching through the use and integration of digital media and tools. A holistic, evidence-based approach is therefore important for successful implementation, as the measures must fit into the current digitalization processes and strategies of the institutions involved, and changes in beliefs, leadership, institutional strategies and resource management will be likely if not inevitable. Hence, a close collaboration between service centers and faculty stakeholders at all stages of the project is required for the successful embedding of the measures developed. The guiding principle still applies: 'A fool with a tool is still a fool'. Digital instructional design must pursue high-quality teaching to promote in-depth learning processes rather than fancy tools. This requires teachers to constantly develop the necessary skills. The basis for the developments is therefore a competency model that is further developed as a synthesis of established models and adapted to the needs of the different organizational units in the institutions. ln the sense of co-creation, this contextualization will be carried out together with the relevant educational experts in the faculties. This group will also be formed in the initial phase of the project. Specific actions and products will then be developed. These include training courses in different formats (online and on-campus) and of different sizes. Learning content will also be prepared in digital form (learning nuggets) in the context of these training courses and made available on the partner institutions' learning platforms (self-study units). lnstead of 'one size fits all', the diversity of learning formats and content will be adapted to different situations.
