Abstract
The article proposes an interpretation of Guido Gozzano's fairy tales in the light of the theme of metamorphosis. The article aims to show how the butterfly (a figure that runs through Gozzano's entire oeuvre) is not only a symbol of metamorphosis, but also a wish for a positive reconciliation with nature, as it occurs in fairy tales.
