Abstract
The article presents the study of Alessandro Fo’s translation of the “Aeneid” (Einaudi 2012) through the analysis of the text of the Virgilian Proemio. The extract illustrates and summarizes the overall study conducted. The translator’s choices are highlighted, with particular attention given to the rhetorical figures of sound, position and style. Comparisons with other translations facilitate the analysis, including the works of Annibal Caro (1581), Rosa Calzecchi Onesti (1967), Luca Canali (1983) and Mario Ramous (1998).
The study is based on the Bachelor's thesis.
