Description
How can a project be efficiently communicated? The technical drawing allows an objective, measurable description and analysis of a project, while the architectural image allows to draw the emotional, atmospheric and contextual aspects of it. The course aims to teach how to express a project through the realization of images that are themselves designed.
We will not teach a specific software for obtaining the result, but we will focus instead on the aspects that it is useful to know to design and create an image of architecture: centrality of the subject, composition, depth, chiaroscuro, aspect ratio, visual weights, use of color, manual skills. To do this, we will analyze paintings, photographs and views of contemporary projects that have centered the objective of the narrative of the architectural subject.

The theoretical part of the course will be accompanied by live exercises and individual exercises. The personal works can be carried out using software and techniques at the discretion of the student.
Examination information
Creation of an image on a given theme and consequent collective review.
