Description
Scattered data approximation is a popular method to define an interpolant on scattered data. Applicationw range from computer graphics to solving data driven partial differential equations or solving classification problems. In this lecture, the underlying theory and numerical methods are presented.
Objectives
This is an introduction to scattered data approximation providing basic concepts and algorithms.
