Biography

Ivan Moscati is professor of economics at Insubria University (Varese), and a research associate of the Baffi Carefin Centre at Bocconi University, Milan, and the Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science at the London School of Economics.

Research

Moscati's research focuses on the history and methodology of microeconomics, with special attention to decision theory and utility theory, experimental and behavioral economics, and measurement theory.

On these topics, he published several articles and two books: Measuring Utility. From the Marginal Revolution to Behavioral Economics (Oxford University Press, 2019) and The History and Methodology of Expected Utility, (Cambridge University Press, 2023).
